Given the limited testing to date, some deaths and probably the vast majority of infections due to SARS-CoV-2 are being missed.

This evidence fiasco creates tremendous uncertainty about the risk of dying from Covid-19. Reported case fatality rates, like the official 3.4% rate from the World Health Organization, cause horror — and are meaningless. Patients who have been tested for SARS-CoV-2 are disproportionately those with severe symptoms and bad outcomes. As most health systems have limited testing capacity, selection bias may even worsen in the near future.

The one situation where an entire, closed population was tested was the Diamond Princess cruise ship and its quarantine passengers. The case fatality rate there was 1.0%, but this was a largely elderly population, in which the death rate from Covid-19 is much higher.

Projecting the Diamond Princess mortality rate onto the age structure of the U.S. population, the death rate among people infected with Covid-19 would be 0.125%. But since this estimate is based on extremely thin data — there were just seven deaths among the 700 infected passengers and crew ...). It is also possible that some of the passengers who were infected might die later, and that tourists may have different frequencies of chronic diseases .... Adding these extra sources of uncertainty, reasonable estimates for the case fatality ratio in the general U.S. population vary from 0.05% to 1%.

That huge range markedly affects how severe the pandemic is and what should be done. A population-wide case fatality rate of 0.05% is lower than seasonal influenza. Dr. Mao stated that his group treated ~50 cases of moderate to severe cases of Covid-19 infection with high dose IVC. The IVC dosing was in the range of 10,000 mg - 20,000 mg a day for 7-10 days, with 10,000 mg for moderate cases and 20,000 for more severe cases, determined by pulmonary status (mostly the oxygenation index) and coagulation status. All patients who received IVC improved and there was no mortality. Compared to the average of a 30-day hospital stay for all Covid-19 patients, those patients who received high dose IVC had a hospital stay about 3-5 days shorter than the overall patients. Dr. Mao discussed one severe case in particular who was deteriorating rapidly. He gave a bolus of 50,000 mg IVC over a period of 4 hours. The patient's pulmonary (oxygenation index) status stabilized and improved as the critical care team watched in real time. There were no side effects reported from any of the cases treated with high dose IVC.

Even in people who had an "ordinary" case of the virus, only 7% of them did not have low or low-normal vitamin D.

Based on the Lancet study results, the WHO stopped recruiting for their HCQ study. Several countries changed their guidance about the drug's use.

Dr Fauci concluded that HCQ is not safe and does not work.

France banned or strictly restricted the use of HCQ even though their own Dr Raoult reported encouraging results with the drug in his studies. I previously posted articles on his studies.

The Lancet paper's problems are so numerous that I'm confident it will be retracted; however, what will the mainstream media do with all of this. They already reported the negative study. Will they report the retraction? How badly will this hurt the recruitment of patients for planned HCQ studies.

Controversy Surrounding COVID PCR Test False-Positives [ originally written September 2020 ]

Half of the positive PCR test results from some labs may actually be false-positives—reference below.

This issue will fuel speculation that authorities on the political left are abusing PCR test flaws to justify lockdowns and to justify mail-in ballots that are easier to manipulate. The added fear in the public from the additional “cases” may make people more accepting of hastily tested vaccines, a potential boon for Big Pharma.

An assistant professor of epidemiology at Harvard Medical School, Michael Mina, explains in a Harvard Magazine article that the PCR test amplifies viral RNA to detectable levels.

There is also the issue of the threshold or amount of detectable viral RNA required to cause a test to be classified as positive.

In this 2 minute clip the Chief of Emergency Medicine at E. Virginia Med School hospital, the very admirable Dr. Paul Marik, presents and explains a graph of data comparing PCR test results with actual culture test results. The results are strikingly DIFFERENT! There are far more positive PCR tests, especially when the test was done more than 8 days after onset of symptoms.

It is Marik’s view that after day 8 or so the PCR test is most likely picking up debris from dead viruses.

Later in the video, Dr Marik and Dr Syed present a similar graph but with the cycle threshold clearly visible. Notice that there are NO positive culture tests above the threshold of 30, yet many labs use a much higher threshold of 40. This causes many more tests to be classified as positive, possibly false-positive.

It is the view of Martenson and others that all PCR tests should include the number of cycles that were required to produce the positive result. If only 20 cycles were required for the positive, it would suggest a high viral load requiring prompt medical attention.

The CEO of a hospital in India says they switched to a lab that includes the cycle threshold. He goes on, “If the value is between 20 and 25, home isolation [with remote case monitoring] can be advised….Hospital admission is a must in cases where the value is less than 20.”

MSN reports, “Up to 90 percent of people tested for COVID-19 in Massachusetts, New York and Nevada in July carried barely any traces of the virus and it could be because today’s tests are ‘too sensitive’, experts say.”

The title of an article at the NY Times is, “Your Coronavirus Test Is Positive. Maybe It Shouldn’t Be.” It quotes Dr. Mina and others about the excessively high threshold of 40.

The labs have an obvious motive to set the threshold higher than necessary. Additional positive tests will result in additional follow-up test$.

Back in 2018 the WHO accepted the old anti- parasite medication Ivermectin as a treatment for Scabies based on meager evidence. Scabies causes itch and a rash, not a deadly pandemic.

In early April my mid 80's parents and I had our dance with the COVID-19 virus. They both tested positive.

The evening before Easter my mother complained about fatigue and cough. So she started taking the supplements in the I-Mask+ protocol for outpatients from the med school profs at the FLCCC. The following morning, Easter, my mother felt fine. She went to church and prepared a nice Italian dinner. Since she was feeling fine and my sister and her husband joined us for dessert. We kept the event small due to the pandemic. Even though we were all asymptomatic, we all got the virus!

We did not think my mother had COVID. We assumed there was no way a handful of supplements could knock out SARS2 virus overnight in an 83 year old.

Since starting to use an integrative medical approach my mother almost never gets more than a mild cold. Typically upon first symptoms she takes zinc acetate lozenges, extra vitamin C and D and wakes up the next morning asymptomatic. So when this happened the night before Easter, we assumed she just had her typical response to fighting a mild cold.

However the morning after Easter my father was clearly sick. He had unusual fatigue and a cough. He slept much of the day. Gradually my mother's symptoms returned.

I purchased some cough medicine for them but still did not think this was Covid. I failed to monitor them. By evening they were both sick and (re)started taking I-Mask+. My nieces who were front-line Covid nurses tested my father with an oximeter. He was well above average. My mother was average.

Later that evening I started with the same symptoms. I stayed with my parents to care for them.

The following morning I was the sickest person in the house. Thankfully my parents only had mild symptoms. By evening my mother proclaimed that she was fine and would not need any extra supplements the following day.

That day my father spent time moving plants from one greenhouse to another in his wheelbarrow. He was still taking the I-Mask+ supplements.

However by evening the virus had roared back in my mother who was not taking care of herself. She needed help to get off the sofa and was not thinking very clearly. Her oxygen had declined somewhat to borderline low. We thought we might have to take her to the hospital. However after a few hours taking the virus seriously with nutrition, hydration, electrolytes and the I-Mask+ protocol she stabilized and was okay over night and the next day.

I had 24 hours of extraordinary fatigue and a mild cough for a couple days. I slept much of the day on Tuesday but did not need a nap the remainder of the week, just 8 hours of sleep. Thankfully this allowed me to care for my folks.

Unfortunately my mother repeated her mistake on Friday. She stopped taking the I-Mask+ supplements, instead, relying on the Antibiotic and steroid from her doctor. By evening the virus had roared back. She resumed the I-Mask+ protocol and added a half dose of Ivermectin.

Several hours later we actually had her dressed to go to the hospital when the combo finally kicked in. She was stable overnight and gradually improved over the following couple of days while taking I-Mask+ and Ivermectin.

On Monday evening we took my mother to the hospital, not because of Covid symptoms, but because she had a heart rate of 150 and probable A-Fib according to a home EKG device. We previously suspected undiagnosed A-Fib and she had prior plans to see her doctor about it but the appointment was cancelled due to her Covid infection.

The hospital treated her A-Fib successfully but did not need to treat her for the virus. She was on day 10 and the virus is typically dead by then according to various studies.

My 87 year old father never needed to call his doctor. He never even needed any ivermectin, just the I-Mask+ supplements. However he did end up with a modest case of long-Covid. He had more fatigue and lethargy in week 2 than he did in the middle of his first week with the virus. Thankfully he was always able to care for himself, could think clearly and never had below average oxygen. It took him a month or so to regain full stamina.

My sister and her husband did not do badly. They are both rather healthy.

None of us had been vaccinated, except my sister's one dose. Other than age we do not have any high risk factors such as obesity, diabetes, asthma, etc. We don't usually get more than a mild cold since starting to use integrative medicine.

I was amazed about how infectious the virus was. It is rare for all of us to get sick, let alone sick enough to need to sleep much of the day.

The fatigue is VERY dangerous. I'm sure many people who lived alone died due to it. The virus can hit you so quickly you are not prepared to care for yourself. It is tempting to sleep too much and neglect nutrition, hydration, electrolytes, etc. It is very important to be prepared and have someone call every few hours to remind you to eat and drink, etc.

So we take this virus very seriously. However it is clear that medical leadership has deceived the world about treatments for outpatients. This pandemic should not have been nearly so bad.

I was very, very impressed about the punch that I-Mask+ had against this virus. The med school profs at the FLCCC are our heroes!
