to do it right, you really should get professional help.

The responses you got were good. I would like to add that low thryod is infamous for causing infammation and skin itching and prickling, not to mention a host of other things. I would consider reading a book by Dr. Mark Starr on Type2 Hypoythyroidism. You can google him and order a copy for $15. Hypothyrodism is very often not accurately diagnosed with blood testing, so if you had yours tested and it came out normal, that does not mean that it is.

For immediate relief, and even a possible short term or long term cure, fill up your bath tub with lukewarm water (the warmth will make it itch a bit more while you are in it, but that will stop once you get out.) Add a cup or two of apple cider vinigar and soak, soak soak, for as long as you can. Try to submege all the parts of you that are inflammed, and if you can't, take wash cloth and squeeze the water over it, and then use it as a compress. You can take these baths as many times in a day as you need too. You should get both immediate and cummulative relief.

Solar Ray makes a good skin formula that will proably help you a lot too.

You also might want to try the creame version of Bach Flower's Rescue Remedy.

Mud packs for your face and neck would also be good. Anyting with mud in it. I had an episode of this once and was out of everything, and I acuatlly used a clay based toothpaste - and it worked! (It took the itch away, it didn't cure me).

Eczema is your skin doing toxin elimination because the other elimination organs aren't doing their job because they are damaged (need nutrition, rest, regeneration) or need cleaning. Address the causes and you will be cured.

Spend some time and read up and you will come to understand later that you in fact should be THANKFUL to your eczema for saving your life.

I’m sorry you are suffering so much with your eczema. I have KP which is a painless but unattractive skin condition that covers most of my body including my face(It's about 70% better now then it use to be). I only mention my KP because in my attempt to find a treatment I have learned a lot about other skin conditions.

Some researchers believe that eczema, KP, psoriasis, allergies, heart disease, and many other conditionings including surprisingly dyslexia and ADD, are inflammatory disorders where your body is having an immune overreaction. The reasons for these hyper-immune responses are most likely dietary (i.e. food allergies and imbalanced nutrition), or the build up of toxins in the body.

There are several supplements that may be worth your while to research and use.

Omega 3- available in pharmaceutical grade fish oil, and flaxseed oil. Omega 3 is powerful anti-inflammatory. There is a lot of information on the web about how and why omega 3 works. Just Google “omega 3 and eczema.” I have had a lot of personal success with this supplement.

Zinc- zinc deficiency is very common and can manifest in a number of skin conditions. The majority of eczema sufferers have zinc levels that are much lower than average. Zinc has been used to treat Acne and to reduce scaring and healing time after surgeries. Unfortunately zinc supplementation for eczema has been studied, producing no positive results. However, the results of these studies should be taken with a grain of salt, because they used a very low dosage over a short period of time.

Oolong tea- is another anti-inflammatory, and its effects on eczema were studied in Japan. 64% of the study’s participants saw improvement in their eczema after 1 month. I made a tincture of oolong tea which has helped reduce the redness of my KP. Here is a link to the study.



I have taken all of these supplements and I have seen a lot of improvement in my skin condition because of them. I recently started internal body cleansing (which for me has been a slow process), and now I feel like, instead of treating my condition, I am truly healing(my skin looks worse now then when I was just taking the supplements-but I think that’s just part of the process).

Try making a good portion of your diet vegetables. Read several books (e.g. The pH Miracle, go to Amazon and see what else comes up) on acid/alkaline diet. Start boosting your mineral supplements (Calcium, magnesium, etc.). Drop processed foods, alcohol, coffee, etc. See if this helps. Good luck.

train81...Being able to heal my own eczema of the hands about 20 years ago, is what
really got my name out in our community...connected to natural remedies.

I had been to 5 dermatologists...a couple of them a good distance away. We had spent over $1,000 trying to heal my hands. They were red...oozie...they would
crust over and then split. It was a mess!!! And very painful.

I had heard Dr. Andrew Weil on tv talking about such things and he even gave a simple formula for it. Back then, I wasn't as into 'recording' every single thing
I thought 'might' be of any significance...like I am now. So I grabbed a pencil
and started taking notes, but I knew I had missed some of what he had said.
My home library wasn't quite as extensive way back then..and I didn't have any of
his books or my computer, so I went to the library and started researching.

I was able to heal my own hands within a week or so and since then have given the
formula to many people and I don't know of a time that it didn't work. And it was
done for 'pennies'.

I took 5 Brewers Yeast capsules...(I think I took those twice daily)

I really identified with your post because I recently got to that point of not feeling able to take the torture any more, and didn't know what to do. It never occured to me that I could get rid of excema, but in the last 4 days, I've changed my mind, so I thought I'd tell you what I'm doing.

- and decided to try something similar. There's a resource/further reading page on his site, with a link to a small book which I can't recommend strongly enough!! It's by Janet Something - called 'Excema Free in 14 Days' and you can download it for about $30. It's basically a guide to making your body healthy and able to heal itself through apple detoxing followed by 14 days of eating a lot of raw fruit, veggies, sprouted pulses, and other such foods. I don't know if you've looked at this kind of thing before; if not - go for it. I only tried it because I had to do something, and I didn't know if food alone could really have such a big effect on such a powerful disorder as excema, but I have seen my disgusting skin improve dramatically since I started (only 4 days ago). I feel so much better, I don't look as if I have chemical burns, and I feel optimistic about the progress I'll make over the next couple of weeks.
I'm also taking vitamins, just to be on the safe side - omega 3 and 6 plus evening primrose oil, B vitamins, and vitamins A, C, D, and E. (I also recently started new homeopathic treatment, and acupuncture/Chinese herbs. These have also been really good, but the really dramatic improvement started when I changed my diet.)
You might also want to try Epaderm as an emollient/wash. I was finding the usual ones (eg. aqueous cream) got sucked up by my thirsty skin in minutes. Epaderm lasts much longer, is even kinder on my skin, and doesn't smell of much. It's a bit sweaty in hot weather, but not too bad.
Well, I hope that this helps you, or at least that someone's advice does :-) Keep trying stuff. I've spent huge amounts of money on treatments too, but once you find something that helps, all the costs are worth it.
