If it says it is castor oil it almost certainly is castor oil. If it smells awful leave it for gardeners to get rid of moles. Manufacturer will probably be evasive as to why they say not for internal use as there is no more reason now than 50 years ago.There is a strong anti alternative medicine lobby world wide!
I buy mine from a soap company at a good price and it does just what one would expect.
