Why I recommend meat
It's not that I agree with it or don't agree with it. If you can make vegetarian work for you more power to you.
Here's my experience with it.
Over the years in my practice all the vegetarians I have known and treated have been sick. I have yet to see a healthy vegetarian. Structurally they are weak and don't hold their adjustmants. They seem to catch anything that comes along, they don't live very long and their kids are sick.
Never the less I tried it. Chiropractic is a very demanding profession physically. It's a lot of physical work. I found on the vegetarian regime I just simply didn't have the strength to put in a full days work.
When dealing with the terminally ill I discovered they absolutely needed protein to rebuild the body. Most of the people had radiation treatments that damaged the organs and musculature. You have to remember when I started teaching this the only patients that were interested are the ones who had no choice and still didn't want to die. So I got the worst of the worst. People half dead from the chemo and burned up by the radiation.
I found that Standard Processes Protofood was the best protein supplament on the market. When the patients voice would get weak and they would get that drawn look on their face some protofood pulled them right out of it. So I started advising meat. Good meat mind you, none of this hormone laden crap.
Technically the musculature and organs need the DNA and RNA of the meats AND organ meats to rebuild. So I started advising even the sausages like hot dogs, bologna, pepperoni, Kielbasa, etc. to help the organs rebuild. It works.
Look at nature. Don't tell my cat she can live on veggies. Look at the animals that are big and ponderous. Elephants, gorillas, whales, etc. all vegetarians. Look at the sleek, slim animals, Cheetahs, lions, cats, dogs, etc. Meat eaters. Plus it takes extra intestines to process the grasses and all the vegetarian stuff. A cow has four extra stomachs to process that diet. Horses also have an extended intestinal tract to process all that grass and grain.
Most of all it just doesn't seem to work for ME. I get structually weak and physically weak. And I just don't see any healthy vegetarians in my practice. Again, the statistics don't favor the vegetarians either. Thye die young have a variety of ilnesses along the way and their kids are sick. They just don't look healthy. And sure enough they aren't. At least from a structural standpoint and statistical standpoint.
But still, if you can make it work for you, go for it. My general rule on diet is eat what makes you feel good the next day. Stronger physically, more alert mentally, more alive.
You may temporarily need to eat veggies for a while or fast for a while but I don't advise it for a long term lifestyle. And always, always put love into your food in the preparation of it. Always.
Hope that helps.
