Stuttering - Mind-Body
Hi Daniel
You seem to be working on the symptoms rather than the cause and that may be the reason for lack of progress.
Stuttering normally occurs because of a few reasons - feeling insecure about our own abilty to express ourselves, a fear of expressing ourselves and the inabilty to cry are common.
Do you recall as a child being shut up when you wanted to speak up for yourself? Or perhaps there were family members who you were fearful of speaking up against? Were you allowed to communicate your anger? Do you recall any beliefs thrown at you about "boy's don't/shouldn't cry"? Were there family beliefs about sexuality not being allowed to be expressed by children?
Stuttering is fear localised in the throat, it also connects to your own personal fears about speaking of things that have been pushed down into your unconscious, so it's a type of self defense mechanism on your part, because you are afraid of what might come up ... the stuttering is just an expression of your inhibition to speak out about what comes to mind without thinking.
I hope that helps serve you on releasing the need to stutter.
Tap on the emotions, not on the symptoms.
Love
Maya
