Bare with me on all my questions. I am trying to prepare myself for this and don't want to fail. I also have several patients with UC, and I feel like if I fail, I may be failing them by not passing on something that could possibly help.
The salmon in cans? Is that the same size and type like the tuna they sell in cans? I was looking through some of these this morning. We have a small fish selection at the grocery store.
Have people been able to use unrefined virgin coconut oil, in place of the olive? It's all I use although my wife hates the taste. It doesn't break down like olive oil under heat.
Do you peel any of the outer layer of brussel sprouts? Never really used them much.
What's best way to prepare for lunch? One day a week I am in another clinic with nothing but a fridge. Other 3 days a week I am able to come home.
I try not to use Sugar for sweetening, thoughts on raw agave nectar for use on rice? Mixes better than stevia, although I use that too.
On exercise, I am guessing it's alright to get on the elliptical as long as its not strenuous? I just started again, so I can't do strenuous anyway, lol.
Over last several years my wife and I have switched to mostly organic foods, no boxed items, and really read the main ingrediant lists, so this is not a HUGE change just more specific.
