I hear ya Rudy~!

These folks are running a sale on their
Waterwise distillers. I have one that does
not use electricity. You can get the hosing,
at any length you need at Lowes. I got mine
long enough that it runs into a 5 gallon
bottle~~

I would also recommend a solar cooker.
I live in the south and use mine a lot.
I also bought a parabolic cooker that I
have not tried the distiller on yet but
suspect it would be a fine fit. The solar
cooker can pasteurize water in short order
making it drinkable. The price listed in
this ad is the lowest I have ever seen for
this type~~
