Re: Rest v. Exercise & Skin Elasticity
Hi Raine13,
dieting for the obese usually results in excess and surplus skin which is difficult if not impossible to get rid of in the short to long term.
However, fasting will clean and rejuvenate the skin and keep itself in proportion to the weight of the individual.
The skin has elastic properties: when the fat leaves the fat depots with relentless regularity over time, loose skin can result and you get wrinkles! This is a good thing. Be encouraged! The skin's elasticity properties will kick in and catch up. But for a time, you will have wrinkles. This is a good thing!
But wrinkles will disappear with the fasting process as well..........
Dr H M Shelton..........
"The rejuvenating effect upon the skin is visible to all who have eyes to see. Lines, wrinkles, blotches, pimples and discolorations disappear, the skin becomes more youthful, acquires a better color and a better texture. The eyes clear up and become brighter. One looks younger. The visible rejuvenation in the skin and eyes is matched by manifest evidences of similar but invisible rejuvenescence throughout the body"
"The layman may see these remarkable changes in the skin for this often becomes as fine grained and smooth, almost as that of a child. Drs. Carlson and Kunde, of the department of Physiology of the University of Chicago, showed that a fast of two weeks temporarily restores the tissues of a man of forty to the physiological condition of the tissues of a youth of seventeen."

Post-fast and after the re-feeding period I would advise supplementing with at least a daily amount of 5-6000mg of Magnesium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), L-lysine and L-Proline (Amino acids) which will help enormously in rebuilding the skin from the inside out.
Judicious sunbathing is also helpful in the rejuvenation of the skin but being careful not to overdo it and burn.
