Distilled water, adding mineral drops

Would like to know if adding mineral drops to distilled water, which changes the acidicity of the distilled water to more alkaline, is okay. My husband insists on drinking distilled water that sets in a ceramic dispenser (ugh, bacteria). I have been drinking it since we've been married, and I feel as if I am going down hill. I wonder if that is why. What do you think, anyone, would just adding minerals help? Thanks.
