Okay, so I've been doing some research on water filters lately. My main goal is to reduce fluoride and chlorine levels. I have decided that I want to go with a filter that reduces fluoride (usually using aluminum oxide) and then filters through other filters such as GAC and others. I'm not interested in using distillation or reverse-osmosis at this time. Please, let's not turn this into another distillation/filtration debate, I'm just looking for some people that can recommend a good quality water filter that you have used with good success.
I am looking for a counter-top or under-sink model water filter and also a shower filter. So far the counter-top model I am looking at is the Crystal Quest 6 stage fluoride removal water filter Model: CQE-CT-00144 (this is very reasonably priced at only $100, seems almost too cheap). And the best shower filter so far seems to be the Golden Illumination Energized Shower Filter.
Please, anyone that has used these products or if you would like to recommend something that you have used with success, I would love to hear from you.
