concerned gramma!!

My grandaughter is 3 months old I am taking care of her while my daughter works, My daughter is not very open to alternative medicine,I believe it should always be the first thing we try. My grandbaby is on enfimil formula(in my daughters defense she was unable to produce any milk and did try very hard to breastfeed),I have not been able to convince my daughter to try a better formula, my granbaby is very overly emotional, she cries alot, she can go from smiling to screaming in seconds, she is difficult to get to sleep and often jerks herself awake. She sleeps most nights threw but has these what i call meltdowns frequently threwout the day, she will scream for what seems no reason and is unconsolable unless u can distract her, u have to be up moving around and can't look at her or talk to her. I have never seen it before this bad.Any help would be greatly apriciated.
