one way to avoid fluoride is to take baths instead of showers. add some calcium chloride or some borax to your bath water. the calcium and/or boron adhere to the fluoride and makes it nearly non-toxic.

i think there is a filter you can buy for your shower head that will take out fluoride, but not sure about that.
