Re: I think I have found my answer--or at least my problem.
Thanks for the info. I think you're right. Come to think of it, some of the other articles I've been reading about hyperventilation explain how severe overbreathing can dehydrate your airway as well as decrease your immunity and make you more vulnerable to allergies. If hyperventilation is a (or "the") problem, the inflammation is probably still due to all the lovely environmental factors as well.
My biggest problem with remaining hydrated is frequent urination. I get so dehydrated because I have to pee every 30 to 60 minutes (sometimes even more often). People think that I pee all the time *because* I drink so much liquid, but I would disagree quite strongly with that because it is definitely the other way around. I've tried adding 1/8 tsp of
Sea Salt to every 10
oz. glass, similar to what the
Water Cure says, and now I'm up to 1/4 tsp of
Sea Salt per 10
oz. It doesn't seem to increase my absorption of water. I get very dry when I'm talking a lot, and I teach so I do talk a lot. Ughhhh.
