To make things easier and less complicated LOL I'll repost my post here but really you should check out Trappers forum for good info on what to do about the flu.

Several years ago when I moved to the state where my grandmother was living she wanted me to get a flu shot when the time came to get them.  She started talking to me about it months before the vaccine was available but each and every time she brought it up I told her I wasn't going to get the shot.  Well I'm sure I'm not the only person who has caved into pressure from loved ones am I? It got to the point where she broached the subject every time I talked to her and I got so sick of hearing it plus I wanted to make her happy so I got the darn shot.

Let me tell you that was the first and the last time I will ever get a flu shot.  It made me sicker than I had ever been.  Fever, vomiting, and sweating then freezing cold, it was awful.  I was sick for 3 days.  I told people what the shot did to me and every single person I talked to told me the shot didn't make me sick. They can say what they want but that shot made me sick.  

It was the last time I was sick and thats been about 16 years ago.  I mean I don't ever get a cold or anything.  In fact I don't even have a doctor and if I did get sick I wouldn't go to one.  I'm 50 and not on a single medication while most of my friends have at least 3 or 4 prescriptions they take every day.

So I thank you for posting this article.  My grandmother is gone now but I will never again cave to pressure from loved ones regarding my health and my body.
