Good answer! Yes, getting one's hormones checked is a great first step.

By the way, lasers permanently remove hair in the anagen or growth stage. But a percentage of your hair is in the catagen or transitional stage and the rest are in the telogen or resting stage. Lasers don't affect those hair follicles. You need to wait until the follicles return to the anagen stage when new hair emerges before they can be permanently destroyed. That's why you need several laser treatments.
