The elusive high quality bluberry

Hi, all!

This year, I have been VERY frustrated by the blueberries at my local farmer's market. Nothing better than average, and a lot of just plain poor ones!!!

What to do???

A couple of days ago, lacking any fresh ones, I got out some very old store-bought frozen "wild" blueberries. Just for fun, I took some of the juice and checked it out. It was real blurry, like the best ones I ever found at the farmer's market.

They were small in the first place and had freezer-burn, but were DELICIOUS in a cold smoothie with some pineapple juice concentrate and some frozen banana.

Checking my pH and paying attention to how I was feeling convinced me to see if I can find more of them. I shared this to remind us all that quality food lurk in strange places. [I got the pineapple juice concentrate on sale half price at a Safeway. Usually do not shop there at all.]

Looking forward to the day when all of us will have plenty of top quality food...
