Re: Bible stories to be interpreted literally??
First of all, where did I ever say in my post that I am "ANTI-GOD"?
I never stated whether I believe in the existence of "God" or not, so why do you take upon yourself to call me "ANTI-GOD" when you do not know that I am or not.
This is one of the points that I made in the original post. Many Christians have a tendency to directly equate literal bible translations with their faith and belief. Therefore, if it demonstrated that the bible clearly can't be interpreted literally, then it is taken as a personal affront to their "faith". If someone doesn't interpret the bible literally, then they are "ANTI-GOD".
And why is it necessary to call someone a "FOOL" who does not agree with your position. Usually when someone knows that they have no rational response in a discussion, they may begin to feel angered and resort to name calling. It's a classic pattern that plays itself out endlessly. It's a shame.
Hey, Refreshed, please remember- "Challenge the message and not the messenger! The first person to resort to name calling automatically loses the debate!"
It's written on the top of the debate forum.
