Re: Have you looked into parasites?
Thanks Jorge.
So far, I have had an SIBO test with Cedar Sinai's GI Assistant director (top doc when it comes to SIBO) and it was showed clear, not abnormal. I highly suspected it or some fermenting microbe, so after that test, I believe it is yeast.
I have also been gluten free since the dawn of time. Lol, more like a year or so. Only chicken and veggies. Recent test to gliadin is 0.
That leaves 3 possible options that keep constant inflammation: 1) Remaining yeast in small bowel that is undetected with metametrix or any other stool test (since they pick up largely the colon). 2) heavy metals - had a hair test, no "deranged mineral transport" that cutler speaks of, but a litle higher than normal mercury. Higher than normal blood mercury (not by a lot). Insane levels of uranium in hair test. Didnt do a challenge test though.
3) protozoa
parasite - undetected in 3 tests except last consecutive 2 tests with metametrix found some DNA material. no symptoms of typical parasitic infection like insane diarrhea, pain, but just constant inflammation and leaky gut.
Is Tinidazole and Albendazole anti-parasitic drugs? Are they
Antibiotics ? I guess it would be a disastrous outcome to take
Antibiotics if the problem is yeast so I need to be careful.
