umm. just a little logic. if only the people who have travelled to foreign countries can get worms, that would imply that the eggs of worms are only fertile in other countries.

Look, if anyone who travels to a foreign country CAN get worms, like she is admitting, and that person then travels back to this country, with said worms in gut, then the worms are also here, as soon as those eggs exit their body. If you say a traveler can get worms, then you are saying worms also become travelers, and the whole argument of 'only in other countries' falls apart.

One should not pay for or take the advice of people that lack the faculty of logic and thinking. This is your health after all. And one should not take the advice of people who condescend them, treat them like idiots, discount what they say, refuse to listen to information, and so on. What is the point?

The single most important source of information for any medical 'professional' is the patient. They should be listened to first, second, and last, as they are directly connected to the illness that is being addressed. They are the illness.

And even if you did convince this doctor you had worms, what then? Do you really want the advice of someone who is just beginning to understand parasitic infection? You currently have more knowledge about the subject.
