Re: Furazolidone & protozoa - Giardia fight update

"""Good to hear that you've made possible progress! It's horrible that this was just Giardia, which is SUPPOSED to be easily eliminated. (Protozoa really don't do a lot of what they're supposed to do, huh?)"""

Yeah I have taken several types of meds and the thing does not go away. It only went away when I was in Brazil for a while but it came back (or something came back).

"""I, myself, still feel shitty, honestly. It's been 3 days since I stopped my Secnidazole/Doxycycline course. Don't know what that's about but soon I'll retest and find out."""

I think its too soon to tell if you will get better from the meds or not. In my experience it takes a while for the body to adjust after the meds.

The problem with testing too soon is that it can result in false negatives. I have read that over the web... I think the bad bugs website may have some info on this issue.

"""I'm currently taking Activia probiotic yogure, chlorella (for the whatever toxins may be present) and S. Boulardii."""

Some of those probiotic yogurts are pretty good. I used to take many of them in Brazil and they are very popular there.

"""I got my medication from http://www.medsmex.com.

They were very helpful, although the medication took nearly a month to reach me, due to enhanced customs meddling that was newly in effect at the Mexico/US border. I do recommend them. The secnidazole underwent NMR analysis and was completely legit."""

Its very good to know that MedsMex is back in business. Do you know if the shipping delay issues have improved?

"""The effect on you sinuses by the Giardia is curious. Guess it's a bit like how I have a perpetual dull headache. Wonder what the mechanism is for this? Obviously an immune response of some sort..."""

Yeah, I'm not sure how it happens but there is some type of connection. My mom (also diagnose with Giardia & Amoeba) have similar sinus reactions.

"""Good luck and I hope you continue to improve, Jazz-man."""

Thank you and good luck to you too! :o)

Thanks for the reply.
