histadelia tmg sam-e methionine choline...
dear community,
this is a super long post but if someone could read it and try to help me, i would be so grateful...
i'm shy to talk about this because i'm afraid people will think i'm just a hypochondriac, but... i have been suffering the symptoms of what i have now come to think is the manifestation of excess histamine, "histadelia".
along with the allergy symptoms chronic hives & numerous sneezes every day, i have lived with profound
Depression and extreme anxiety, social phobia, dwelling on past heartaches :(, poor memory and brain fog, insomnia, constant bodily pain, severe chronic heartburn, i am always overheated (and red faced) and don't care if i go without a jacket in winter and can even go outside barefoot in winter if i need to, heightened senses and pain from stimuli (for example, sounds that are normal to others, make me WINCE, nerve tests have shown that i really do hear more than others).
(the only histadelic characteristic i dont have, is i am overweight, but i think that can be due to eating due to the sadness).
desperate to nutritionally treat this, for the histadelia i began taking:
trimethylglycine (tmg) 1 gram 2x a day
and
calcium 600mg+magnesium 200mg 2x a day
...along with, for the heartburn, a protocol recommended by dr. johnathan wright to try to restore esophageal valve function, not realizing that i might be over doing it with methylating substances:
choline 1 gram 3x a day, with
pantothenic acid 500 mg 2x a day,
vitamin b1 100mg 2x a day, and
manganese 20mg 2x a day
...and, as part of a thyroid nourishing protocol:
selenium 100mg 2x a day,
l-tyrosine 1.5 grams 2x a day, with,
a.m. i take a b-complex with all the b-vitamins including b-12 and folic acid ...i used to take additional b-12 1000mcg and folic 800mcg but i am not sure if they are good for people with histadelia, and not even sure if i should be taking the b-complex because it has them).
p.m. i take pyridoxal-5-phosphate (b6) 20mg
i had been on the thyroid protocol for a long time already, the tmg/calcium and heartburn protocols are new. within days of starting hives have completely stopped, and i sneeze only maybe once a day. and my skin is glowing in a way that makes me feel so much better about myself. unfortunately, my anxiety is _worse_ (and the heartburn persists).
i am trying hard to understand about, different methyl donors such as tmg, dmg, sam-e and basic methionine ...and i just found out that choline also functions as one (and might msm?) and i am not sure if each works slightly differently.
i am trying to figure if it could be too much tmg, or the choline (and at this dosage is very expensive to stay on...), worsening my anxiety ...but since it's hard for me to understand on my own i am afraid to mess with the dosage.
i am also unsure as to whether i should add any other types of methyl donors such as sam-e or basic methionine...
i would be so grateful for any guidance that anyone could give me...
thank you so much...
missy
