Need advice on badly cut finger

I cut my finger really badly on a can about 12:30 today. It is 5pm and the bleeding has not stopped

I put cayenne powder on the wound and also took cayenne tincture. I put a band-aid on it but it was burning so bad that I took the band-aid off thinking I might be able to use slippery elm instead of cayenne. Well once I washed off the cayenne it started up bleeding again and I finally got it bandaged back up but it is burning and throbbing pretty intensely. With the band-aid on really tightly it does not seem to be bleeding thru but as I said it is burning so incredibly much not sure I can take it

Any other thoughts?
