Re: Depression help needed
It also could be a low T issue as well. A few years back I ordered a 24 hour saliva test and not all that surprising I was low T but not to a great degree. Being somewhat lower on T is not all that uncommen for my age. I have no health insurance right now so running the gamut of a battery of tests is not in the cards for me right now. One of the reasons I am taking Borax is to help balance the hormones..but I am not ruling out that maybe the "bigger guns" is what I need. Might be time to fork out some cash to do another 24 hour saliva test. Although I will say that I believe my cortisol is more balanced out than it was 3 years ago..and if that is the case..my T should also be better.
I also do not believe its a hypothyroid issue with me either. I don't have typical symptoms of it. Had that checked before. I do on occasion do some foot painting with Lugols.
Another guy on another site I posted to who seems very knowlegeable on sleeping/breathing disorders might be on to something with me. His contention and apparently from studies that have been done...is that a lot of people "hyperventilate" but yet they don't know it. I'm not talking about hyperventilating in the sense that most people are aware of. It's more of a breathing too much than you need to and apparently that can keep you from oxygenating your cells enough. In any event he is wanting me to check out Buteyko and try the breathing techniques. When I told him that for quite sometime I have had 50% blockage in my right nostril he is saying I must have a breathing disorder. I guess from the studies..most mood disorders are really sleeping disorders and sleeping disorders are really breathing disorders. He also mentioned
Depression is prevalant with breathing disorders. When I mentioned that sleep deprivation lifted my
Depression he said that I definitely have an issue with sleep and hence..with breathing. So I'm gonna give the Buteyko a go..who knows...can't hurt to try.
