Still think its all about location. What good is self dependency if your just gonna be taken over by hoards of starving disease ridden folks and their pets. What we need is communes, large ones spread all around in strategic areas. With enough food available to feed some bad ass dogs, "man stoppers" they call them.

ideally what needs to be done i would think is to research and find out where the elites will be bunkering down at. Even if one could just get in the near vicinity i would think that would be a great start.
