Drinking distilled water after surgery to help flush fluids?

I recently had rhinoplasty to fix a broken nose and septum.I am day 8 after my op and recovering quite well but i seem to have fluid in my tip of my nose which is very common with this surgery. (you can acually feel the fluid its weird)

anyway I have used distilled water a few other times to help with my bacteria I had in my tummy which I think killed it anyway do you think its safe to drink it now to aid with flushing this fluid out and bringing down my swelling. I have already started since last night I have probably had about 2 litres and I have added some lemon in today

I thought i would check incase it is unwise to drink while healing (though i think its just going to help)

i also want to flush out the toxins from all the medication I had been taking on a 4 hourly basis (arghh)

let me know your thoughts thanks!
