And maybe the genetic issue is an effect and not a cause. It depends on how you understand it and how you decide to perceive it.

Are you shaped by your DNA or do you shape your DNA ?
In one side we have scientists saying that evolution is a fact and that we have the ability to mutate (alter DNA) and in another side they say that we are victims of our DNA weaknesses. Really coherent indeed.
