I thought about the oil being the culprit but I only used a minute amount and a lot of iodine. Sesame oil may have endocrine disrupting abilities...which I have not heard or read ever...but either way Iodine was the main thing being used. Perhaps I put too much on? It is possible, but I am unwilling to find out! Just thought it was prudent to share another side of this procedure. Again my advice is not to do it!
