Got a viral infection, titrated to bowel tolerance

I have had Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome and some sort of chronic infection for a year or so. I started to run a low fever of 100.5 and felt like I was getting sick, i started to titrate up on ascorbic acid which I have never done. (normally i just take a dose of 4-5G a day) I'm getting diarrhea at about 11 Grams, I was totally expecting it to be higher, did I do something wrong?
