Aquafor is how I managed the condition. Used it several times a day to keep them reasonably moist. Then would like the Aquafor and dead skin build up and exfoliate them in the morning by getting my lips wet in the shower or over the sink. I lived like this for 15 years more or less. Aquafor was a blessing for me. Not from a standpoint of curing the condition, but from managing it. "Aquaphor" includes "Vaseline Lip Therapy," which is not pure Vaseline. Pure Vaseline (i.e., pure petroleum jelly) harmed my lips. I could not use it even to manage them.
