Re: Trouble with bromism – any more ways to detox?
Considering asthma is an autoimmunity, I imagine it can have many and complex causes. I’m very glad you found what healed you!
Did you detox from the drugs you’d been on, when you started taking iodine? How did you deal with it?
Why is there so much overlap between candida symptoms and signs of bromism?
And just for the record, I didn’t have any of the symptoms I listed above whatsoever before I started taking iodine.
Can bromide and fluoride detoxing cause candidiasis?
Does it even matter whether candida is an issue, if the
Iodine will kill it anyway?
Aren’t bromide and fluoride way more destructive than iodine? If
Iodine kills candida, shouldn’t bromide and fluoride be like dropping a cluster bomb?
If
Iodine is as destructive as all that, should I be worried about my intestinal flora, if I intend to take large doses of it long-term?
And I have some random good news, regarding the calcified patch on my tongue. Earlier I threw up what happened to be quite a lot of acidic stuff all at once – lemon juice, cranberry juice, Vitamin C (plus coconut water). Then I brushed my teeth (and tongue) with baking soda (my usual way of brushing my teeth), and when I examined my tongue, the calcified patch was almost all gone! There’s a thin line in the center now, but if I didn’t know what it had been I wouldn’t even notice it. So now I have some theories:
1. For some reason it’s been going away gradually and I just haven’t noticed (wouldn’t put it past my current intellect)
2. Very acidic + baking soda was the combination it took to dislodge it
3. Grizz is magic :)
Knock on wood it stays gone! I’d still like to do the iodine mouthwash; even if it’s halide-related and not candida, iodine would still probably be good for getting rid of it (and keeping it gone).
My temperature is currently 98.6. I think this might be a positive effect of the iodine. I’m not in the habit of regularly taking my temperature. But I usually expect it to be a couple of tenths above or below normal. I can’t remember the last time it was right on the money!
I tried taking hot baths for awhile that raised my heart rate and made me sweat, some with
Sea Salt and some with
Epsom Salts . That did make the bromide detoxing a lot easier, but I really regret doing it because it mobilized fluoride!
So, looks like I’m in the market for some liquid potassium iodide. I assume you recommend Trapper’s? Are there any other reputable makers out there?
Is there an advantage to absorbing the iodine topically, rather than digesting it? Or is the main advantage that you don’t absorb very much of it?
And other than the contamination issues (and perhaps lack of standardization), is there a reason it’s better to get your iodine from supplements rather than from food? Japanese people seem to do well getting their 12-14 mg from seaweed.
