I recently got curious and bought pH measuring liquid to test the water I drink and more so bottled water. I was shocked to see that my filtered water with Brita jug filter was sooooo acidic. It was 5.0 with old water sitting there for days. So I changed the filter and the acidity went up to (or the number went down) 4.5. I have been drinking this acidic water for 8 years now. No wonder despite of my good diet I have some health issues.
I tested my tap water which was 6.5 and Poland Spring water from a bottle which was 5.0.
I am so dissappointed. Now the question is should I drink the tap water anyway with chlorine and fluoride? Or is there any other water system that only removes chlorine and fluoride and not all the minerals?
I saw the YouTube videos and there are some bottled water with pH as high as 9.0 which should not be consumed. I think 7.0 to 8.0 should be fine. Fiji and Essential were high pH around 8.5 also.
