Low Blood Sugar
You describe a mild case of insulin shock. The give away is the cold sweat, but disoriented, upset, and confused exactly matches a hypoglycemic attack. This happens when blood
Sugar drops below about 60.
This is a serious condition. People who drive in this condition have been arrested as drunk and thrown in jail. Some died or ended up in the hospital because they didn't get anything to raise their blood
Sugar and they slipped into a coma, unnoticed.
You didn't indicate whether you took any lemonaid or how much maple syrup or molasses you use in your lemonaid.
First, I'd switch to unsulphered blackstrap molasses. That is better for
Sugar sensitive individuals.
Second, if you get the confusion again, immediately sit down and have a sweet glass of lemonaid. If you don't feel better in 15 minutes, have a spoonful of molasses. The non-fasting alternative is a glass of Orange Juice.
Finally, this is a wake up call that you have blood sugar issues. When you resume eating, focus on eating "low glycemic" foods to keep your blood sugars level. You must avoid steep rises and falls in blood sugar triggered by white foods, fruit juices, carrot & beet juice, sweets, etc.
Take care.
