Questions about wisdom teeth removal

I may need to get my wisdom teeth removed. One or two of them. My primary dentist is a holistic dentist and i think they do not do surgical stuff like wisdom teeth. I'm unsure.

How can I get them removed inexpensively? I was thinking there is a couple dental colleges in the area and they could do it for less.

But isn't wisdom teeth removal serious?

What would the different be between a dentist that charges $1200 per tooth removal, compared to another place that charges less?

What are the dangers of trying to save money on the wisdom tooth removals?
