Hey I have this same thing going on. It's been probably 4 months now. I am confident I know the origin, for my case at least.

My husky got out when I was at work (bartender), and I'm not off til after 2AM. My roommate accidentally let Dude escape, and he ran through a creek. I get home, and she just had tossed him in my room. It reeked! Anyways, I wiped him down best I could then passed out.

Next day or two- SPRINGTAILS EVERYWHERE. I got rid of them it appeared, fully in about a week. But I've been dealing with this skin and hair issue ever since.
