Are you referring to the multiple fordyce spots in the triagular area of upper lip? One time when I applied Lugol's Iodine solution, it healed the triangular area or closed up those spots, but it unhealed after I stopped applying it. I don't know if it just helped to dry out that moist area, but it also temporarily shrunk those spots.
