The sun, the moon, and the stars......
Is “the sun, the moon, and the stars” just a symbolic/poetic phrase for the heavenly or spiritual realm (for lack of identity of the creator?).
The phrase is used often in scripture, but its most curious use is in Revelation 8:12 (where it seems to be directly relevant to TIME and our measure of it…..so what was the effect of the calendar of Ahaz?).

Rev 8:12 and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light was darkened; a third of the day was kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night.
This verse seems to suggest that the Gregorian “DAY” that we know today used to be longer (our 24 hour day used to be 36 “hours”)…….

Is the phrase being used to refer to OUR GALAXY (the “EARTH SECTION” of the whole solar system)?
