Re: First Timer - Hope People Here Can Help Me

I suggest that you also ask in the larger Cutler support groups at Yahoo and Facebook.

People using Cutler's protocol will be more likely to use a local Functional Medicine doctor, orthomolecular doctor or similar. You could search for a local doctor on the group's site.

Most of these docs don't take insurance. The good side of that is that they are not limited to the short menu of the insurance company. Docs are not likely to discuss things not covered by insurance.

Most of the FM docs provide an opportunity to chat for 15 minutes free over the phone. My friend did that with her FM doc. She asked if he was opposed to prescribing ORAL DMPS. Some docs will only give it via IV $$$.

You might *respectfully* explain that you can't take a chance with high doses because you have a family to care for, job, etc and cant take the risk of something unexpected happening, for example

If the doc will only prescribe high dose capsule, that is not a problem. The doc is actually doing you a favor by saving you some $. People using AC protocol typically get 25mg or larger caps, open them, divide the contents in half or third and put the contents in empty caps. Those caps are readily available on the net. #1 size tends to be reasonable for this. there are more detailed instructions available in the Yahoo groups.

Please remember that heavy metals virtually always cause mood problems. Most of us have at least some brain fog so look less intelligent than we are. Those are going to make a doctor nervous about dealing with the patient. some of us become "difficult" argumentative or competitive ( I had those traits when my health was at its worst 15 yrs ago.)

I think it is wise to take the approach of an owner of a baseball team who is trying to encourage a well qualified coach to join his team. A coach won't want to take the job if the players are not "coachable" have a reputation for being difficult to manage. You'll likely do much better by being friendly with the doctor, even though you will almost certainly have to politely reject offers to do IV $$ ; )

I've heard of a doc in central-southern CA who has helped people using AC protocol. Be aware that CA is not friendly to alt doctors. Big Government imposes its medical views on folks--eg, vaccines containing mercury--and persecutes doctors who disagree.

In contrast, Nevada is one of the best places in the US. The alt doctors have their own medical board so the mainstream system cannot persecute the alt docs so easily.

Any doctor that does chelation therapy should be able to help you, as long as they are open to patient using AC protocol.

I think Andy's NP friend Julie A. in the Seattle area is still available for phone consultations. npjulie.com No one is a medical god, but she should be able to help you get off to a safe start. If you are still able to work part-time, the protocol is not difficult to learn. If you are disabled with MCS, neuro-psych issues, then you'll need to proceed very cautiously. Definitely discuss your case in the FB or yahoo groups and get some leads from those who had your symptoms and got much improved. Having an experienced doctor on board will also be valuable--assuming you don't roll the dice with IV.
