Dr.Hoffer was an incredible researcher and sadly overlooked by the general community. You might want to read Dr. Carl Pfeiffer's research as he covers the many aspects of this disease, off the top of my head, he refers to the histamine cause which would be due to immune reactions. Certainly, any pathogen will set off the histamine release which causes problems. Another cause was due to toxin involvement, and of course now, toxins are quite prevalent in our environment.
