how to remove thorns from hand?

Aloha - fell into some cactus thorns while visiting friends on the mainland. Got a few out of hand but a few are stuck and trying to avoid infection or visit to E>R
any natural rememdies or ways to soak hand and make thorns easier to remove? then afterwards, hydrogen peroxide?

ps seem to remember from my la'au lapa'au class that soaking in urine dissolves spines of sea urchin stuck in skin. wondering if that could help with these cactus thorns?!!
got a couple large 1/2 inch ones out. a few left
