Types of herpes virus

The best known types of herpes viruses are the species that cause cold sores, genital herpes, chicken pox and shingles.
But these three species are not the only ones that affect humans; there are other lesser known species that can also cause disease.
Among the lesser known species is the Epstein-Barr virus, the main cause of kissing disease and other neoplastic diseases.
The fifth species of herpes virus is the cytomegalovirus which, in addition to causing kissing disease, affects immunosuppressed persons, especially organ transplant recipients.
The sixth species of the herpes virus family is human herpesvirus 6 which causes roseola in children less than two years of age and other diseases in immunocompromised persons.
The least known virus of the family is human herpes virus type 7 which was discovered in 1990. This virus infects lymphocytes and salivary glands.
The eighth species of the herpes virus family infecting humans is human herpes virus type 8. This species is better known than the previous one because it is the cause of Kaposi's sarcoma.
All species of viruses of the herpes virus family can cause diseases, some of them serious. That is why it is important to know how to prevent infection. Visit the website https://killherpesvirus.com/herpesvirus-family/
