I'm not a doctor. I
was a massage therapist who worked in a local oncology
unit. And yes, I saw patients with severe burns, open
wounds, life threatening infections and other
complications from "Alternative Medical" treatment,
including the use of "cancer-eating" salves. Many
later died from what were, originally, treatable
cancers.

I don't challenge that patient's right to make their
own treament decisions. That is entirely their
choice. What I challenge is the constant stream of
disinformation and outright lies on the part of too
many "alternative" practitioners. People with cancer
are scared, and to use that fear to manipulate and
financially devastate them with false hopes and false
"cures" is indefensible.
