Even if they *are* good schools, what a naturopath does is far more than just book knowledge.

How are you going to get good are auscultating, listening to heart and lung sounds, reading pulses (for the Chinese medicine component), palpating and adjusting (for the physical therapy component), and working with real patients?

How well are you going to understand the human body without a cadaver?

Naturopaths are licensced in over 10 states. They would be licensced in far more if the online naturopaths didn't dilute the quality of product.

Would you really trust an alleopath that went to an *online* school? Most people wouldn't.

Naturopaths are about far more than giving out herbs and supplements. You have to diagnose, refer out serious patients, and work with people's medications. The liability you face in court is very high if you screw up. Your online education will be laughed at and you will be shut down in a flash.

There are other degrees to consider pursuing online or during night-school (acupuncture, massage, herbalism and even homeopathy) but being a physician is just not suitable to online education.

People's lives are in your hands. Therefore if you want to be a doctor you need to devote your *full* life and attention to being a doctor. It isn't just some easy online mail-order degree.

That said, if you are still interested consider Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. I have checked out all the naturopathic colelges in this country and Southwest was my favorite by far.

If you want to read more about different natural healing professions consider checking out:
