Re: Let me explain why I need sunblock (I think :) )
Peru's sun in the mountains is pretty strong from 10am-4pm. Besides getting food at the market which opens at 9-10am, I do hang our with the kids and friends outside they live on a 5 acre farm and plant veggies, work mostly outside...actually their house is completely made of natural supplies, mud, straw, no heat (it gets cold at note!) and they use electricity only when it gets dark...so the whole family is outside often.
I have recurring eczema and the dryness causes itchiness which MAY cause the eczmea or a rash to return kind of a reaction.
I was only in the jungle (Puerto Maldanado) very different but only a 30 minute plane ride from where i am staying. Oh and sometimes I climb mountains and the sun is strong.
Oh and for them they eat a lite breakfast, modest lunch and very small dinner (almost like a snack) were all in bed by 8-9pm...it gets dark here at 5-6pm and they start work early and do not want to use too much electrcity. Really interesting and different form my lifestyle in the US!
