Re: Athlete's foot - help!
Okay, I am sure there are other ways to get rid of it. I heard that doing a vinegar bath 2x daily CONSISTENTLY will rid it. BUT. I will tell you my experience.
I had it for about 8 years. I kept it at bay by exfoliating my heels regularly and using the anti-fungal powders and creams daily (had to be daily).
Earlier on I had been mostly a sock-and-shoe wearing kind of girl. Later we moved to the equator and I started wearing open-air sandals most of the time. That helped a little but I still had to keep up the exfoliation and washing all the time. I got to where I put Olbas oil on my heels most of the time instead of the cream but it was still a crutch.
Finally I heard about urine therapy. I was pretty desperate, so I decided to try it. I saved up my urine for about 2 days. Then I put bags on my feet with the urine in there, and taped it onto my legs and put more bags, etc. to seal it in. Then I slept with my feet in the urine all night. WOW - from that morning I knew I didn't have the athlete's foot anymore. The skin looked so healthy! To this day, I haven't had any problems! I just exfoliate occasionally now, and I do wear mostly open-air sandals and shoes, even in winter.
So go ahead and try the different good suggestions you can get around here, I hope they work for you. But if nothing else works, you seriously should consider topical urine therapy. I am SO glad I did.
