Re: omg --
melanie, this is sunday the 29th... she came home on thurs. afternoon after 6 days in the hosp... today she told me that she is having great pain after eating... i too saw all this coming, but there is no telling her anything... because she knew i didn't want her to have the surgery, she's still saying it was the best thing she could have done... obviously she's trying to convince herself, as when she says this i don't respond... the drain they put in her side fell out today, and she still can't even wear underwear around her middle with great discomfort... she does see the surgeon tomorrow for her followup appt... after that we know she's going to be on her own... so call me stupid, but this is the biggest debachal i've ever seen... she still has the infection and is on oral
Antibiotics for that, and she did say that it feels as if her liver hurts... i gave her all the facts before the surgery about stones coming from the liver, etc. but she wanted none of it, therefore she chose the path she wanted... she speaks highly of her surgeon, but really hated her aftercare... we both know the after care would have been easier if the surgeon hadn't dumped her gallbladder contents into her... i give her a call daily, but she frustrates me so... today she was telling me about the pain after eating and i asked her what she ate... she said they went to golden fried chicken and she had a breast... i asked if the breast was fried, she said it was but that she'd picked off the skin... i told her that the breast meat would still be influenced by the frying... but no, she didn't think so... therefore, i'm just backing off, going to nod and smile or shake and frown because obviously that's all the information she wants out of me... thanks for your concern for her... i do hope all is going well for you... everyone has the right to choose their path, at least you did so with all the facts... i do wish you well with your recovery!
