Colonic Irrigation is a treatment performed by a qualified practitioner using a special piece of equipement, which put simply, gently introduces water into the rectum and washes out the colon. A treatment usually lasts an hour and although good results can be had from one visit, it is not uncommon for people to have several in a row before they feel thoroughly cleaned. it is relatively expensive but has to be experienced atleast once. Personally I am a great fan but I cannot afford them regularly - have to do bowel cleanses, salt water flushes and enemas instead.
