I don't remember what publication I read this in, nor which doctor or researcher said it, but this expert's exact quote was, "About the only foods I've found that don't cause gas are rice and meats." From experience I've found his comments mostly correct, although not everyone has the same reaction to a given food. (All foods can cause gas through natural digestive break-down in the gut, so "causes/doesn't cause" is a RELATIVE term, with rice and meat simply on the opposite end of the scale from beans or cabbage.)
