Re: Dinner around the table during the MC
Hi Kimberley!
Good question! My daughter is 7 & my son is 4 & 1/2. They are watching me on Day 1 & well, I am just drinking water & the lemonade drinks etc, so I don't know.
My daughter eats pretty well, she eats raw, except of course she loves candy & chocolate. That is pretty much her only downfall, but if she had her way, we all would be eating raw. lol.
So, I guess for me, I used that to tell the kids & explain what I am doing. I don't ever talk about my weight to my kids since my exhubby is so very critical on bigger ppl etc, that my daughters refusal to eat is mainly based on a fear of getting big like me one day, and she is teeny tiny.
I enforce (or try to) more healthy eating & I do tell her that if she is scared of getting big, well, she won't get big from a big salad or fresh veggies or something like that, even if she ate the whole garden patch. I also use our rabbit, that guy eats all day long & will eat anything, well, he isn't fat at all, he is healthy, but he also doesn't go to McDonald's & have the fries everyday etc... Both my kids eat plenty of fruits & veggies because of that. I am glad that 90% of our groceries is all fresh produce etc.
I have really bad skin right now, so I just told my kids that I was doing this to help my skin & make it all better. And just that I have been eating so many bad foods (I can easily down a 2L of pop a day) & had too much medicine etc after the accident, so I am just cleaning it all up, that's all. :o)
I just told them that, and I said that soon I will be getting all the good food & we will have some wonderful healthy meals etc all together, but for now, I will just make their meals. And I told them that this will make me much healthier & better in the end & it is a good thing...just like my not smoking..I quit that 3 months ago tomorrow & well, the kids are so happy about that, so I just said it is like the same & soon we will all be happy & eating good :o) they quite liked that & said that was fine & good & they are happy...(my son is like YEAH! More food for me! lol)
Becky :o)
