Re: !!BEWARE!! Crystal Clear Energized Water machine and John E. !! Beware of this machine!!
Wow! I just had to chime in here. I saw an add for the John E. water machine is a
Science magazine today and nearly fell out of my chair. I worked for John/Jack Ellis back in the '78-'79 time frame. I was still in high school, and had gotten a job with his company through a friend whos parents knew Mr. Ellis's girlfriend, Marge, I think her name was. I was involved in production of his standard water distillers that he was selling at the time. I kind of thought he had some issues since he seemed to change locations somewhat frequently. He seemed to complain about postal inspectors and such, but I didn't think much of it since he was paying cash and I was a foolish teenager looking for work.
I can only say that it doesn't surprise me that he is still facing complaints about his products and claims. I seem to remember many phone calls in which he was always promising customers something or another in order to pacify their complaints.
I feel sorry for anyone caught up in his business practices. I would suggest also contacting the postal inspector, since he always seemed to be looking over his shoulder. But, I doubt that you will find a reference to a physical address, as from what I remember, he always used P.O. boxes on all the address labels.
Good luck trying to get any action on this guy. He has been flying under the radar for many years.
