I can relate to your feeling that you have to re-learn
how to cook and to prepare meals. I have had to do the
same thing; un-learn a lot of old eating habits, primarily
a dependance on bread and bread products.
Here's what has changed my life:
1. Juicer - use it every day 1-3x - you must get one!
2. Salads - my new breakfast, I look forward to it and
eat about 2 salads a day now - lots of avocado
3. taking the time to prepare foods, try to feel good
about it and not rushed (sometimes difficult) and to sit
and eat properly (not reading or watching tv)
I agree, it must be a challenge to find things your kids
will like. I suspect they'd like juices (other kids I know
do, even if they don't like veggies!)
